An increasing focus on Grand Theft Auto Online meant that 2013’s Grand Theft Auto 5 never received any story DLC–but this wasn’t always the plan. Voice actor Steve Ogg, who voiced Trevor, has now said that a planned “Agent Trevor” DLC was already partially shot before Rockstar canceled it, The Loadout reports.

In a recent Q&A stream with Streamily, Ogg confirmed that he recorded lines for the DLC, giving some details on how it would have played. “Trevor was gonna be undercover, he works for the feds,” Ogg said. “And we did shoot some of that stuff with James Bond Trevor. He’s still kind of a fuck-up, but he’s doing his best to pretend to be like… We shot some stuff and then it just disappeared and [Rockstar] never did it, they never followed up on it.”

Dataminers on the GTA forums found references to the planned DLC back in 2015, unearthing references to “Agent Trevor” in the game files, as well as hints that pointed to a zombie-apocalypse-themed DLC, and an alien invasion. The game files also point to a casino heist that would have incorporated all of GTA V’s playable characters.

The Agent Trevor DLC seemed to be the furthest along, making it unsurprising that Ogg would have already recorded some lines for the new story. The game files referred to 23 missions with 34 separate mission triggers, as well as 12 separate assassination missions, according to the GTA Wiki. Much of the developed content ended up being repurposed for GTA Online’s Doomsday Heist.

In the livestream, Ogg expressed disappointment that the Agent Trevor DLC was never completed. “I thought that would be cool,” he said of Rockstar’s plans for the DLC. “That would have been fun, to follow a different journey.”
